God also gave Ron the opportunity to meet an Australian Vietnam Veteran, Wally Robinson that has led to a deep and lifetime friendship.  During their first meeting Wally told Ron, “I don’t know if you know this but when you bought your ticket to come to Australia, God had this meeting in mind.”  Subsequently, Wally introduced Ron and Luan to the men he served with in Vietnam.  And Ron was honored in 2002 to officiate the memorial service for a fallen soldier in the Australian Army named Johnny Desnoy.  These men finally received closure 32 years after Johnny was killed in Vietnam.  Ron and Luan are honored to be honorary members of Wally’s platoon, 3 R.A.R.
