We stand with anticipation on the precipice of a new year; keenly aware that it’s not just the beginning of another year but the beginning of a new season. During the last part of 2009, the Holy Spirit led us to understand (quite an amazing story in itself) that Ron was to accept the pastorate of our home church in Oroville, Trinity Bible Church. When the idea was first presented we were ready to dismiss it immediately, as we are certain of our call to serve pastors through Raven Ministries. Then, through a lead pastor in Oroville (one of our spiritual covering), the Holy Spirit explained that it is to be a covenant relationship in which both ministries continue interdependently. Raven Ministries will continue to operate as it has over the past seven years and we will continue to travel as Yehoshua opens the doors for us to do so (the Elders of Trinity Bible Church are more than capable and willing to take the helm while we are away). In addition to the phenomenal opportunity to serve the Master in greater and more varied ways, this transition also represents another major restoration in Ron’s life. He never even dared to dream that God would restore him to the pastorate because he felt he had disqualified himself. But, God’s mercy is profuse. We realize more and more that we cannot begin to comprehend its depths. So, we will content ourselves with swimming in it, while exhorting others to “come on in, the water’s great!
